My name is Ci Yin and I am from Hong Kong. I am helping my friend Haneen Alashi in Gaza fundraise money to feed her daughter, Malak (3 years old), and son, Youssef (1 year old) and her family.

My name is Haneen Alashi. I used to be a school teacher before the war, but I lost my job and house after Israel’s bombings. Now I am struggling to raise two children, my daughter Malak (3 years old) and son Youssef (1 year old). Youssef had jaundice as a child, which left him brain damaged. He needed special medical treatment before the war. Now they suffer from malnutrition, which has made an unbearable situation even more difficult for me as a mother to not be able to take care of them.
This is me with Youssef before the war.
With your money, firstly I will buy food from merchants so I don’t have to go to official aid stations. Israel kills people who line up for aid. Thankfully, there are merchants who brought in food before Israel closed the borders and take out rations of what they have, but they sell them for extortionate prices. So I beg you to please donate money to help me keep my babies alive.
Currently in the markets (USD), 1kg of potatoes is $40, 1kg of rice is $50, 1kg of rice is $30, and 1kg of sugar is $100.
Secondly, when Israel opens up the borders I will evacuate with my family to Qatar or Jordan. The cost to evacuate just one person is USD $7000.
So that is why I am budgeting USD $50,000 to help my family survive for the next 4 months and evacuate as soon as possible. In HKD this is $392,500.
